I started this game in the first beta and was the last game I ever pre ordered. After over 6000 hours, met tons of fantastic people, experiencing some of the funniest and worst bugs, and even currently being the governor of the best open world company in the game with 100 active members the game coming to an end. There was a massive uptick in player counts and people had finally considered the game worth returning to and playing as their main game. Nighthaven was phenomenal and people were seeing that. I had people coming back to the game who never realized New World was “this good” or “could be this much fun” as I recieved testimonials daily from people coming back to the game.
Sunsetting (saying it’s not a sunset is bull****) New World when it’s in the steams top 50 make Amazon look like incompetent clowns in the games space. Nobody is going to pay for AI trash you produce after this and Amazons reputation is forever damaged.
Either bring the team back or Sell the New World game and IP to someone and let it live on its own merits.

No MMO is completely bug-free or has issues that bother players and cause them to complain. In this respect, all MMOs are the same. However, New World is so special. There is no alternative to New World, to its look and feel.
I could spend hours and days there just chopping wood or mining ore and enjoying the sounds that accompany these activities. I love the world, I love the in-game music, I love the relaxed nature of the game. I'll enjoy New World while it is still around and until servers will be shut down, however, I'll never buy another game from Amazon Game Studios.
It's a shame that – especially now, with the hugely successful and fan-acclaimed “Nighthaven” expansion – profit is taking precedence over humanity and those responsible are taking away the jobs of thousands of people and disappointing tens of thousands more.
Shame on you (whoever had the idea for this and whoever agreed to it)! STOP KILLING GAMES!

Graphs, Sound Effects, Collission with Fighting, Walking, Climbing - all those perfect impressions have screwed over any other MMO experience. How can another game be enjoyed if there are so many drawbacks on visuals, on sounds, on overall look and specifically the "Feel" playing it, fighting, farming. Oh well, I've always spent all coins, my char was always broke, at least I'm not sitting now a 100's of K's of Gold ;)

As a former Content Creator of the game, I must say that I am not happy at all to hear the latest news.
I came back to game a few days ago and today I heard the news :(
I tried to contact some managers that I use to talk with back then in Amazon (for Lost Ark and New World) and I haven't received any answer yet.
I hope something good happens soon.

I know this game was never perfect... but after 1000+ hours, I grew an emotional connection to its world.
I started playing New World when it first released, which was when I had coincidentally gone through a very traumatic period in my life. Some friends encouraged me to give this new MMO a try in an attempt to help distract me from the hardship, and I said sure.
Walking around Windsward and Everfall collecting herbs and spices, chopping trees, fighting the Lost and Corrupted, queing up outside expedition entrances and typing "LFG" in the chat, running frantically towards beautifully attractive resource nodes etc... (I could go on forever naming specific areas and mobs and the world's MUSIC!) are more than just random memories in a game to me; they became deeply associated with a sort of "healing" period I partook in after a traumatic period in my life.
Now that I feel that one day very soon, in possibly a little over a year (or less), I may never ever be able to walk around the world I fell in love with ever again... I feel awful. These regions and villages and beautiful landscapes will be forever lost. #StopKillingGames.

New World is arguably the best MMO experience since Vanilla WoW. This game did have a rough launch, end game content was reached very quickly and the community got quiet for a while. Though the dev team at Amazon Games did not give up on the game and has put out constant updates to make this game thrive. The latest Season 10 update is by far the biggest, and it was bringing back many players, new and old, back into the experience.
The cancellation of this game was a massive oversight by executive leadership at Amazon, all for the sake of AI.

New World at its launch was buggy, lacking in content, and clunky. After a few years my friends insisted I came back as the devs had put a lot of hard work and love into the game to get it to be a unique and special experience for players. Upon return I was surprised by the amount of content and polish. I actually found myself participating in every bit of content from PVP to Seasonal Events. It breaks my heart to hear about the layoffs and ending support for new world. Please keep this game alive. It's one of the few MMOs I have been able to get into and enjoy with my friends. #SaveNewWorld #KeepNewWorldAlive
